Shades of Surreality: Purple Ball
Nestled in the heart of Saint Simons Island, Georgia, Art Under the Oaks was a weekend to remember. The sun-dappled canopy of oaks set the perfect stage for our collection, where the boundaries between reality and dreams blurred. Among the vibrant hues of our 'Realm of Dreams' collection, one piece stood out—'Shades of Serenity - Purple Ball.' Its ethereal charm captured the imagination of many, leading to the sale of a striking 24x36 print on white brushed aluminum.
Despite the light crowd, the interest in art was palpable. I had the pleasure of meeting a number of truly wonderful people, each intrigued by the surreal nature of infrared photography. Many visitors mentioned they had never encountered art quite like mine before, drawn in by the dreamlike quality that transforms ordinary scenes into extraordinary fantasies. It was a joy to introduce them to the world of infrared photography, sharing the stories and techniques that bring these enchanting vistas to life.
The conversations were as vibrant as the colors in my prints, with each interaction offering a chance to connect over a shared appreciation for the beauty of nature and creativity. The weekend was not just about showcasing art but also about building connections and inspiring others with the unseen light that infrared photography reveals.
