Revealing a World Beyond Ordinary Sight.

These aren’t photographs of places.

They’re invitations to remember places you’ve never been.

“It doesn’t ask for attention — it just waits until you notice.”

Artist Statement

I photograph real places using visible and invisible light—not simply to document how they appear, but to reveal the atmosphere, mystery, and quiet presence I feel within them.

I’m drawn to moments when the familiar slips toward the dreamlike: when a tree becomes a guardian, a road becomes a passage, or light transforms an ordinary landscape into something sacred.

These are photographs of the real world, seen differently.

About Dan

Dan Urban is a fine-art photographer and visual craftsman with more than two decades of professional experience. Working with visible and invisible light, he creates contemplative landscapes that reveal what ordinary sight leaves hidden.

Dan travels across America with his wife, Tracey, their English pointer Cooper, and their cat Mimo. Life on the road continually carries him into unfamiliar landscapes, following light and creating photographs rooted in real places but transformed by the way he sees them.
