“Divine Shadows” is part of my Spiritual Splendor series—an image where history and the mystical meet in the language of light. Captured in infrared black and white, the San Francisco de Asís Catholic Mission Church in Taos, New Mexico becomes more than architecture; it becomes presence. The adobe curves feel sculpted by shadow, and the tones carry an otherworldly stillness, as if the air itself is holding a quiet prayer.
Photographing this church was deeply personal for me. One of my favorite photographers, Ansel Adams, famously photographed this very structure, and standing here with my camera felt like stepping into a living lineage—an artistic conversation across time. That connection adds weight to the moment, turning the act of photographing into something closer to reverence.
